Who are the people behind the Grandmother Project?
Founders
Dr Judi AUBEL is a specialist in community health and adult learning.
She has 20 years of experience working with community health programs primarily in Africa but also in Latin America, Asia and the Pacific. Her training is in adult education, medical anthropology and public health. Her focus is capacity building of local NGOs and government staff to implement community health and education programs that build on socio-cultural realities and resources.
Ms Elisabeth MEALEY is a communication specialist who has worked with international NGOs in Europe, Asia and the Pacific for more than 12 years.
A journalist by training, her articles and programs on environmental and social issues have appeared in media outlets around the world. Her work focuses on indigenous land-rights issues, traditional cultural renewal and the impacts of development.
